Summary
Scientific and Practical Center for Bioresources offers consumers a genetic bank of wild fauna (WF-GENEBANK) under an outsourcing agreement
Description
The genetic bank of wild fauna is a unique scientific base for a comprehensive study of the spatial structure of the gene pool of various animal species and genetic population polymorphism, assessment of the state of rare and vulnerable species of fauna, the establishment of phylogenetic relationships, and also plays an important role in the conservation of genetic resources in the time interval. The WF-genebank currently includes over 5580 bioassays from vertebrates. An interactive Internet database on bird tissue samples for genetic research has been developed (http://genebank.by), which reflects the geographic referencing of available samples, which is important for remote brand advertising and introductory access to information resources of WF-genebank.
The genetic bank of wild fauna is a necessary resource for organizing modern fundamental population genetic, phylogeographic, and evolutionary studies, implementing an innovative approach based on detailed genetic monitoring of natural populations, an approach to developing and adjusting management plans for rare and globally threatened fauna species, ensuring the creation of sustainable populations economically. valuable species, control, and counteraction to the spread of invasive species, causative agents of natural focal diseases.

Advantages and Innovations
For the first time, a collection of samples of biological material of species of wild fauna of vertebrates of the Palaearctic has been formed, a system for its further replenishment and preservation has been created. It has no analogs in the country in terms of the number of bioassays, species coverage, and territorial representation. New in the Republic of Belarus.
