Description
Product properties: spore-crystalline complex and thermostable beta-exotoxin of bacteria Bacillus thuringiensis var.darmstadiensis. Advantage of the drug: Harmless to humans, animals, beneficial insects. It does not have a negative effect on the viability of the entomophage of the spider mite - phytoseiulus, which makes it possible to carry out a comprehensive biological protection of vegetable crops. Advantages and Innovations
The biological effectiveness of Baciturin against spider mites is 79 - 100%, the Colorado potato beetle - 85 - 94%, carrot psyllid - 77-86% and melon aphid - 60-80%.

Institute of Plant Protection is a leading scientific and methodological center coordinating scientific research on the protection of agricultural plants from pests, diseases and weeds in Belarus.
The main task of the institute is to increase the effectiveness of plant protection. The efforts of the scientists of the institute are aimed at reducing the harmfulness of phytophages, phytopathogens and weeds in agrocenoses and obtaining high quality crop yields.

The priority areas of the Institute's activities are:
- Development of scientific criteria for the production and rational use of effective, environmentally friendly means of protecting crops from harmful organisms based on the use of local raw materials and strains of microorganisms.
- Development and introduction into production of technologies for the protection of cereals, potatoes, fodder, industrial, vegetable and fruit crops from pests, diseases and weeds.
- Development of methodological bases of ecological safety of plant protection systems.
- Development of information technologies in plant protection.
- Improving the methodological foundations of phytosanitary monitoring of agricultural crops and forecasting the development of harmful organisms.
- Ecological and economic substantiation of the formation of an assortment of modern chemical and biological means of protection; development of technologies for their application.
- Search and selection of sources of resistance of agricultural crops to dominant diseases.
- Development of pesticide application methods.

In order to improve the integrated systems for the protection of agricultural crops from harmful organisms, the technology for the use of preparations in the fight against pests, plant diseases and weeds, the determination of pesticide residues, the Institute cooperates with research organizations from far and near abroad - Poland, Lithuania, Moldova , Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Russia, etc.
