Summary
The Institute of Physiology offers consumers an oxygen-helium inhaler (stationary model "Glock" and a portable model (oxygen-helium inhaler ("IKG")) under a manufacturing agreement and is looking for partners interested in a distribution services agreement.
Description
The Belarusian oxygen-helium inhaler (IKG) is represented by the stationary "Glock" and the portable "IKG" model, it is easy to operate and maintain, and is competitive.

"IKG" is intended for the prevention and treatment of coronavirus infection in the system of complex treatment of pulmonary and cardiac diseases, decompression diseases, withdrawal from hypoxic conditions, hypothermia, treatment of intoxication of the body, as well as in the system of rehabilitation measures after extreme physical and emotional-psychological stress. It is intended to be used in the healthcare practice of the Republic of Belarus (medical and health institutions, ambulance stations) and sports clubs after registration of the product (IKG).

Information is posted in the "Album of Promising Developments of Organizations of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus for the Real Sector of the Economy" (2023), pp. 375-376. (in Russian)
Advantages and Innovations
The achieved innovative characteristics allow to regulate the temperature range of the helium-oxygen mixture in the mask (60–90 °C); to obtain homogeneity of the helium-oxygen mixture (He – 70%, O2 – 30%) during inhalation; to regulate the flow rate of the mixture (15 l/min or more).

Safe for the environment.

As a promising application of oxygen-helium mixtures, options for improving the "IKG" model (stationary) are possible.

Additional comments
The Institute is a leading scientific institution coordinating physiological research in the Republic of Belarus.

The institute successfully carries out fundamental and applied research aimed at developing methods for the prevention and correction of pathological conditions of hypoxic, ischemic and inflammatory genesis, and develops new devices and methods for their therapeutic and prophylactic use. The main scientific activity of the departments is currently focused on studying the mechanisms of the formation of pathological conditions of the body (primarily hypoxic and neurodestructive) and substantiating new technologies for prevention, treatment and rehabilitation. Particular attention is paid to the development of complex methods for the treatment of malignant tumors using metabolic blockade effectors and high-intensity pulsed magnetic fields and methods for controlling the proliferation of tumor cells based on changes in the functional state of neuroreceptors in vitro and in vivo, as well as the development of a method for immunotherapy of patients suffering from pancreatic cancer. , using autologous dendritic cells primed with tumor antigens and elucidating new mechanisms of tumor formation, substantiation of prevention methods. Studies of the molecular mechanisms of proliferation, differentiation and oncogenesis are being carried out; physiological and therapeutic effect of physical factors and the development of new technologies of physiotherapy and physiotherapy equipment and experimental analysis of positive and negative aspects of the use of nanoparticles and heterocyclic compounds in biomedical technologies. The neurophysiological bases of dysregulation of the functions of internal organs during ischemia of the nervous tissue of various origins are being studied. Works on the physiology of nutrition and sports are being carried out. Preclinical studies of drugs and nanomaterials are underway. Research is being carried out on the safety of biosubstances, biotherapeutic agents, pharmacological complexes and medical products on the basis of agreements with manufacturing enterprises and research institutions. The staff of the Institute conducts research on the mechanisms of interaction between neurons and glial cells in normal and pathological conditions. The functional role of biological preparations (platelet-rich plasma, suspension of mitochondria, mesenchymal stem cells, etc.) in the activation of reparative processes in strokes and brain injuries, ischemia of the lower extremities is being studied. Methods for stable remote monitoring of vital human functions (heart, blood vessels, respiration, temperature, motor activity, brain activity) are being developed. Particular attention is paid to the study of the functional role of the extracellular matrix and stem cells in the development of neoplasms. Cell technologies are being developed for the treatment of malignant diseases. The Institute also evaluates the therapeutic and therapeutic-prophylactic properties of natural mineral waters and the effectiveness of pre- and probiotics - food, food supplements.

Close scientific cooperation is carried out with scientists from Russia, China and Uzbekistan.
