Scientific and Practical Center of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus for Agricultural Mechanization (hereinafter referred to as the Center) is the largest organization in the republic for the development, testing and production of agricultural machinery.
Field of activity:
- creation of competitive samples of equipment, mechanisms and materials, advanced technologies, other types of science-intensive products based on the development of fundamental and applied scientific research conducted by the Center and subsidiaries of unitary enterprises;
- organization of cooperation with scientific, educational, design, technological, industrial, agricultural and other organizations in order to integrate the scientific potential of scientific organizations of the Academy of Sciences and institutions providing higher education, to jointly solve the most important scientific, technical and humanitarian tasks, increase efficiency using the results of scientific research in the industrial and social spheres of the republic;
- conducting fundamental and applied scientific research in assigned scientific areas;
identification of fundamentally new ways of scientific and technological progress, the implementation of applied scientific research in priority areas of scientific and technical activity, the development of means for mechanizing agricultural production and agrarian energy of a new generation;
- development of recommendations on the use of the results of scientific research of the Center in practice, their support during development in production;
- carrying out, on behalf of the leadership of the Academy of Sciences, other government bodies, scientific examinations of the most important scientific, scientific, technical and national economic programs, innovative projects, as well as draft regulatory legal acts on the profile of the Center;
- studying and summarizing the achievements of world science in the profile of the Center and promoting their practical use;
- training of highly qualified scientific personnel through postgraduate studies, doctoral studies and competition;
advanced training of scientists and specialists, including in foreign scientific centers.
Currently, the Center produces more than 45 models of machines and equipment for agriculture, including:
- 20 types of machines and equipment for tillage, sowing, fertilization and cultural work;
- 13 types of machines and equipment for mechanization and automation of processes in fodder production and animal husbandry;
- 9 types of machines and equipment for cultivation, harvesting, storage and pre-sale preparation of potatoes and vegetables;
- 3 types of machines and equipment for the mechanization of work in industrial gardens.
The manufactured machines fully comply with international standards, have certificates of conformity of the Customs Union and the European Union. Taking into account the use of components of Belarusian and Russian production, the cost of machines produced by the Center is 30..40% lower than imported analogues.
