In accordance with the import substitution plan, there is great potential for increasing the share of domestic planetary-pinion gearboxes and gear motors used at Belarusian enterprises.

In planetary-pinion gearboxes, cycloid (cycloidal, planetary-pinion, pinion) gearboxes are used - this is a type of mechanical transmission in which torque is reduced not due to gearing, but by means of complex flat-parallel rotation of cycloid disks.
