Summary
The Institute of Experimental Botany offers TRIONA® ion-exchange substrate to consumers on the basis of a manufacturing agreement, is looking for partners interested in acquiring substrate production technology on the basis of a license agreement, as well as partners to conclude a distribution services agreement.
Description
Institute of Experimental Botany. F. Kuprevich National Academy of Sciences of Belarus offers TRIONA® ion-exchange substrate and its production technology. TRIONA® is designed for year-round growing of plants in simulated artificial conditions without additional fertilization: indoor and ornamental plant growing, accelerated reproduction of woody and shrubby plants, modern technologies of micropropagation of plants.
Composition and advantages of ion-exchange substrates: TRIONA® is an ion-exchange substrate optimized for a specific culture, consisting of natural and synthetic ion-exchange materials with high selectivity for binding mineral elements. The substrate does not contain organic additives and is a biologically sterile, seed-free, weed, pest, and pathogen-free root environment for plant cultivation.
The substrate is intended for year-round cultivation of plants in simulated artificial conditions without additional fertilization: indoor and ornamental crop production, accelerated reproduction of woody and shrubby plants, modern technologies of micropropagation of plants.

Advantages and Innovations
The substrate for a long time retains 14 major macro-and microelements in optimal ratios and quantities necessary for the mineral nutrition of plants: nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium, calcium, magnesium, sulfur, iron, copper, zinc, boron, manganese, molybdenum, cobalt, nickel, excluding leaching during watering. This makes it possible to grow plants for a long time (up to 7 years) without the additional application of mineral fertilizers.

Comments regarding stage of development
The TRIONA® ion-exchange substrate has proved to be a promising nutrient medium for adaptation and reproduction of plants improved in vitro culture. The TRIONA® substrate was tested in China, the Russian Federation, in the Republican Unitary Enterprise "SPC of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus for Potato and Horticulture" and showed excellent results in the cultivation of various types of ornamental and medicinal plants, potatoes, grapes, Karelian birch, vegetable crops, in the adaptation of grapes, rhododendrons, genera, and other microclonal obtained plant species.
