Summary
The Institute of Experimental Botany offers consumers services for the development of recommendations for the use of an experimental system for additional illumination of tall tomato varieties using LED emitters in greenhouse conditions on the basis of an outsourcing agreement and is looking for partners to conclude a distribution services agreement.
Description
An experimental system for additional illumination of high-stemmed tomato varieties using LED emitters has been installed and is being used at a pilot production site (260 m2) of the Minsk Vegetable Factory, created in the course of a joint project with the Center for Environmental Protection of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus. As a result of industrial tests, an increase in yield by an average of 15% was obtained, and in the first three months of fruiting - up to 50% compared with areas with traditional additional lighting with HPS lamps.
Advantages and Innovations
The economic effect is achieved by reducing the cost of electricity by 30..40%, increasing the yield of tomatoes by 20..30%, reducing the cost of reinstallation, replacement, and disposal of equipment.
