Summary
The United Institute of Mechanical Engineering offers consumers the technology and equipment for flame spraying of polymer composite coatings on the basis of a license agreement and a commercial agreement with technical assistance, and also provides coating services for parts using the developed technology within the framework of a production agreement.
Description
Using the principle of gas-dynamic activation, a design of a thermal spray has been developed, which makes it possible to regulate the density of the heat flux of a gas-flame torch, which ensures the spraying of thermoplastic powders with any melting temperature without changing the nozzle tip.
Purpose:
- long-term protection of parts and structural elements from the effects of a flux of thermal neutrons and aggressive media;
- electrical insulation of connections of electrical power fittings;
- isolation of contacting dissimilar metals to exclude electrochemical processes;
- restoration of defective polymer coatings on parts and structures in the places of their operation.

Advantages and Innovations
Competitive advantages:
-easy to implement the process, the ability to apply coatings to structural elements without disassembling them;
- a wide range of applied materials;
-Application of coatings on metals, ceramics, glass, building materials (concrete, brick, slate, wood);
-smooth adjustment of the composition of the combustible mixture (propane - air) and the shape of the torch;
- there is no need for balloon oxygen;
- no control panel required - all adjustments are installed on the body;
-the thermal spray is one of the lightest in the world in its class.
Results:
- adhesion strength, MPa - 8.0 ... 10.5;
-productivity, kg / h - 2.5 ... 3;
- material utilization factor - 0.85;
-sprayed material - polymer powder or a composition based on it;
-particle size, μm - 40 ... 300;
- polymer melting temperature, ° С - 90 ... 400;
- mass of the thermal spray (without sprayed material), kg - 0.8.
