Summary
The Institute of Meat and Dairy Industry offers consumers samples of lactic acid bacteria strains from a centralized industry collection on the basis of an outsourcing agreement.
Description
The unique specialized collection contains 2287 bacterial strains, on the basis of which combinations of bacterial concentrates for various types of dairy products and bio-preservatives are developed, and 148 strains of bacteriophages (viruses of lactic acid bacteria). Particularly valuable and unique cultures are probiotic microorganisms, which are used for the production of dietary and therapeutic-and-prophylactic nutrition.
Advantages and Innovations
They allow selection of phage-resistant starter cultures, preventing their defeat by bacteriophages in production.

Industrial strains of lactic acid, propionic acid, bifidobacteria are used for the production of bacterial starter cultures for the milk and meat processing, bakery industries, as well as for the production of bio-preservatives for ensiling plant materials (more than 40 enterprises of the Republic of Belarus).
