Summary
B.I.Stepanov Institute of Physics of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus offers consumers small-sized terahertz spectrometers «MAK-1» for non-contact detection and diagnostics of properties of objects and substances under a manufacturing agreement and is looking for partners interested in a distribution services agreement.
Description
B.I.Stepanov Institute of Physics of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus manufactures terahertz spectrometers «MAK-1» is aimed for registration of terahertz transmission, reflection and image spectra, refractive index for solid, liquid and gaseous media, as well as for non-contact detection and diagnostics of properties of semiconductor, ceramic, polymer materials, biological objects and medicines, harmful and dangerous chemical compounds.

Terahertz radiation from the spectrometer penetrates through paper, ceramics, leather, clothing, polymers and powder
goods. Unlike x-ray radiation, it is not dangerous for human.

The terahertz spectrometer «MAK-1» has the following features:
* simultaneous registration of transmission spectra and refractive index;
* possibility of non-destructive testing of properties of objects hidden in paper, cardboard, plastic packaging;
* small size and weight.

Specifications:
Model «MAK-1»
Spectral range, THz 0,2..3
Signal-to-noise ratio, dB 60
Temporal resolution, ps <1
Permissible thickness of the studied object, cm 0..10
Excitation laser wavelength, µm 1,03..1,06
Duration of excitation pulses, fs 50..150
Repetition frequency of excitation pulses, MHz 50..100
Average power of excitation laser radiation, mW 20

Areas of application:
* materials research;
* non-destructive testing;
* biology and medicine;
* chemical industry;
* semiconductor industry;
* pharmaceutical industry;
* security systems (detection of drugs, explosives and other substances hidden in paper and plastic bags, under clothes, etc.).

B.I.Stepanov Institute of Physics offers partners:
* small-sized terahertz spectrometers «MAK-1» for non-contact detection and diagnostics of properties of objects and substances under a manufacturing agreement;
* small-sized terahertz spectrometers «MAK-1» for non-contact detection and diagnostics of properties of objects and substances under a distribution services agreement.
