On May 31, 2023, a delegation of the People's Government of Kunshan, headed by the Vice Mayor of the People's Government of Kunshan, Mr. Sun Yong, visited the NAS of Belarus.

The delegation met with the Deputy Chairman of the Presidium of the NAS of Belarus academician Sergey Chizhik. The meeting was attended by Academic Secretary of the Department of Physics, Mathematics and Informatics of the NAS of Belarus Dr. Alexander Shumilin, Director of the Republican Center for Technology Transfer Dr. Alexander Uspenskiy and others.

During the visit, the guests got acquainted with the permanent exhibition of the NAS of Belarus “Research. Developments. Production” and the Virtual exhibition of the NAS of Belarus.

A discussion of the prospects for cooperation in the field of technology transfer and commercialization took place.

During the visit, an Agreement was signed between the People's Government of Kunshan and the NAS of Belarus on the comprehensive deepening of scientific and technical cooperation for 2023-2025, which was signed by the Vice Mayor of the People's Government of Kunshan Mr. Sun Yong and the First Deputy Chairman Presidium of the NAS of Belarus academician Sergei Chizhik. Deputy Director General of the Scientific and Practical Center of the NAS of Belarus for Materials Research Dr. Oleg Ignatenko and Deputy Director General of the Kunshan Institute of Industrial Technology Mr. Hu Tianqi signed a framework agreement on cooperation between the company "Suzhou MengYing Electronic Technology Co., Ltd." and Scientific and Practical Center of the NAS of Belarus for Materials Research.
