Description
The infrared irradiation of weaned piglets with video surveillance of animal behavior and an automated electric infrared emitter control system IKOV-1 is designed to intensify production processes by irradiating weaned piglets in the biologically active wavelength range and maintaining comfortable microclimate parameters.
The main equipment includes: electric infrared emitters, a mobile system for their suspension, digital blocks for controlling radiation parameters. The design is based on the creation of an infrared field, which ensures the reduction of radiant heat transfer fr om animals and the maintenance of a constant time ratio of the intensity of convection and radiative heat transfer. The characteristics and arrangement of emitters, the algorithm for changing the radiation parameters are found from solving the problem of minimizing energy consumption under the restrictions caused by veterinary and sanitary and hygienic standards, the laws of heat transfer and the propagation of the radiant flux. The system maintains the specified parameters of the microclimate and provides various modes of irradiation of piglets during the day and as they grow. IR irradiators are placed above the weaned piglets. The generated radiant flux passes through the air, being partially absorbed by it, and gets on the animals, the floor, and the technological equipment. As a result, regulated thermal conditions are created in the zone wh ere the piglets are located, and the piglets receive the necessary dose of radiation.
Technological regulations for the design of an automated system for irradiation of weaned piglets have been developed (No. 6/2013 dated 14.08.2013). The system was designed and installed in RUE "ZhodinoAgroPlemElita" in the section for rearing weaned piglets.
