Summary

Description
The Institute of Microbiology of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus together with RUE «Research and Practical Center of NAS of the Republic of Belarus for Arable Farming» has developed biofertilizer «GORDEBAC®» in liquid and dry (peat) form for increase productivity of brewing barley, winter and spring rape, promote adaptation and growth of healthy planting stock of microclonal arborous species.
The basis of preparation is consortium of associative bacterial strains:
* nitrogen-fixing (Enterobacter sp. B-402D);
* phosphate-mobilizing (Enterobacter sp. B-409D);
* peat (substrate);
* titer - not less than 5.0x109 CFU/ml (l), 2.5x109 CFU/g (d.).
Efficiency:
* biofertilizer stimulates germination power and sprouting of brewing barley seeds;
* intensifies biological nitrogen fixation and phosphate solubilization;
* accelerates growth and development of barley seedlings, microclones of aspen and birch-tree, winter and spring rape;
* ensures extra (5..10%) yields of barley grain showing excellent brewing properties and saves expense of nitrogen and phosphorus mineral fertilizers by 15..20%;
* facilitates adaptation and survival of aspen and birch microclonal transplants by 40% and 25%, respectively;
* increases the yield of rape oil seeds by 16.5..27.2%.
Biofertilizer «GORDEBAC®» belongs to low-hazard substances (class 4), promotes output of eco-friendly products.
Application guidelines:
Biopreparation «GORDEBAC®» is compatible with mineral and micronutrients, bacterial preparations, grain seed (dividend, lamador, raxil) and rapeseed protectants (kinto-duo, tabu), which have a bacteriostatic effect against enterobacteria. The use of preparation does not exclude the use of soil herbicides on crops of malting barley, spring rapeseed and winter rapeseed.

* plastic containers of 1 l, 5 l, 10 l volume (l.);
* plastic or metallized bags of 0.6 kg weight (d.).
Terms of storage:
4 months (l.), 6 months (d.) since fabrication date within temperature range +4 to +15 °C in shady place.
Application area: agriculture (crop production).

Advantages and Innovations
Biofertilizer «GORDEBAC®» in relation to the best foreign analogue «Flavobacterin» (SPI «Biopreparations» LLC, Russian Federation) gives yield increase by 2.4 c/ha more.
The competitiveness of the biological preparations "Gordebak" is ensured by the content of nitrogen-fixing and phosphate-mobilizing bacteria, increasing the provision of plants with biological nitrogen and phosphorus, reducing the doses of mineral fertilizers used, which reduces costs and ensures the greening of crop production.
The production technology is waste-free, belongs to the category of environmentally friendly microbiological processes. Preparations based on microorganisms do not pollute the environment, are harmless to humans and animals, are not phytotoxic and do not have mutagenic activity. Enrichment of the soil with microorganisms that have economically valuable properties: nitrogen fixation, phosphate mobilization, synthesis of biologically active substances is an important technique of ecological farming, contributing to an increase in the yield of agricultural crops.
Pre-sowing seed treatment with the Gordebak preparation (peat) increases crop yield by an average of 2.5 c/ha compared to N60P90K100, without reducing the 1000-grain weight, and by 1.8 c/ha when treating seeds with the Gordebak preparation (liquid). The consortium of nitrogen-fixing and phosphate-mobilizing microorganisms that form the basis of this preparation, in comparison with nitrogen mineral nutrition, has a positive effect on the quality of malting barley grain, reducing the protein content by 0.2–0.4%. Inoculation of spring rape seeds with the biological preparation Gordebak (liquid) in the amount of 2 l/ha of seed rate increased the rape yield by 3.0–3.6 c/ha (8.5–10.3%) compared to the variant without inoculation.

The Institute of Microbiology is the leading research center of the Republic of Belarus in the field of microbiology and biotechnology. The Institute's arsenal of innovative developments includes substances for medicines and diagnostics, biopreservatives, feed and food additives, biodisinfectants, probiotics, plant protection products, microbial fertilizers, wastewater and environmental treatment technologies that are in demand by the economy, and specific recommendations for combating biodamage.
