Experimental and Production Enterprise "Ferrit" manufactures magnetic lattice separators of the SMR-6 series on permanent magnets, designed to remove ferromagnetic metal particles fr om the flow of liquid (industrial oil in hydraulic installations, vegetable oil, chocolate, food syrups, water slips of ceramic materials, etc.) transported through the pipeline, protecting technological equipment from damage by accidental metal particles, as well as to reduce the content of metal impurities in food products to the required sanitary norm.

Magnetic separators of the SMR-6 series are installed in the existing pipeline systems of technological lines of enterprises wh ere the liquid moves under pressure, or mounted on the drain fr om the pipeline, wh ere the liquid moves by gravity.

Principle of operation:

The magnetic separator of the SMR-6 series consists of a circular cross-section housing with two flanges on the sides for embedding into the existing pipeline. 3-5 magnetic rods are mounted on the cover of the housing, forming a magnetic grid together, with the help of which metal particles are captured. The magnetic grid is removed from the separator housing to clean the trapped metal impurities. The liquid flow, passing through the magnetic lattice, enters the zone of action of the magnetic field of the magnetic rods, and the metallomagnetic impurities in the liquid are attracted to the magnetic rods.
For cleaning, it is necessary to stop the liquid supply, remove the magnetic grid from the housing and, using a rag, scraper or brush, clean the magnetic rods.
