The Scientific and Practical Center for Animal Husbandry offers consumers new factory lines of Landrace pigs (factory lines Doctor 4891 and Dantes 5440) under a manufactoring agreement and is looking for partners interested in a distribution services agreement.

Factory lines Dantes 5440 and Doctor 4891 in the Landrace breed are characterized by productivity indicators:
* multiple pregnancy of sows - 12 piglets,
* the age of reaching a live weight of 100 kg - 168 days,
* average daily fattening gain - 848 g,
* bacon thickness - 10..12 mm,
* the content of lean meat in the body - 65%.

The number of sows in the Doctor 4891 line is 55 heads, represented by 2 families of sows (Dora 25 heads and Dana 30 heads), sires - 7 heads, and in the Dantes 5440 line - 63 heads of sows (families Deya 30 heads and Damira 33 heads and 5 heads of boars-producers).

The use of breeding and genetic methods based on the use of DNA markers in order to accelerate the creation of highly productive pig genotypes allows increasing the breeding accuracy and reliability of assessing the breeding value of pigs, reducing the cost of funds and the timing of developing new factory lines by 2.0..2.5 times , types of breeds of animals.

New factory lines of pigs Doctor 4891 and Dantes 5440 in terms of productivity exceed the average indicators for the breed by 5..7%.

The basic enterprise for breeding pigs of factory lines is the republican subsidiary unitary enterprise for breeding business "ZhodinoAgroPlemElita" of the Minsk region.

The Scientific and Practical Center for Animal Husbandry of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus is the only scientific center in the country that conducts research in the field of breeding, reproduction, keeping technology and effective diets for feeding farm animals.
