Description
Processes are investigated and highly effective methods of ultrasonic cutting of semi-finished products for assembling automobile tires are proposed, which provide a significant reduction in cutting force (3-5 times), improvement of the geometry and quality of cut surfaces.
A special stand for testing ultrasonic cutting systems has been designed and manufactured, including a complex of electronic, piezoceramic, ultrasonic, mechanical and other units and mechanisms that provide optimal adjustment of the forces and speeds of cutting the material.

Advantages and Innovations
Complex problems of creating systems for ultrasonic cutting of materials for automobile tires based on the design of equipment and assemblies, including ultrasonic knives, taking into account the lengths of longitudinal and transverse waves in the materials of the knives, the distribution of the displacement amplitude along their cutting edge of the knife, its complex shape, which made it possible to achieve uniformly high amplitude at the cutting edge.
