Description
Experimental and Production Enterprise "Ferrit" manufactures magnetic separators of the PBS and 2-PBS series, designed for dry enrichment of finely crushed highly magnetic ores, as well as for the extraction of ferromagnetic impurities fr om various bulk materials.
The PBS magnetic separator consists of a magnetic drum, a magnetic drum drive, a housing, a guide tray, a casing, a divider, and a cleaner. On the separator body there is a magnetic drum drive, a divider, a cleaner and their actuators. The magnetic drum is the main working body and is a thin-walled cylinder with two covers, rotating on ball bearings mounted on a fixed axle.
The 2-PBS separator consists of magnetic drums, drives, an upper housing, a lower housing, a casing, a divider and cleaners. Magnetic drums are the main working elements of the separator, each of which is a thin-walled cylinder with 2 covers mounted on a fixed axle.
Principle of operation:
The process of separating magnetic and non-magnetic materials in drum-type separators occurs when they move along the shell of their non-magnetic stainless steel, rotating around a fixed magnetic system. The magnetic impurity is attracted to the surface of the drum and is held by the forces of magnetic attraction in the area of the magnetic system. The rotating shell removes the magnetic impurity from the zone of action of the magnetic forces of the stationary magnetic system, and unloads the drum. Since magnetic attraction forces do not act on the main product, it leaves the drum under the action of centrifugal force and gravity along the usual trajectory. Magnetic impurities are attracted to the surface of the drum by the forces of magnetic attraction and are taken away by the rotating shell under the drum to the zone of their unloading.
Specifications:
1. Separation zone - 1 (2) drum(s) with a diameter of 900 mm and a width of 2500 mm.
2. The rotation speed is controlled by the inverter (10-60 rpm).
3. Productivity for solid material - up to 500 t/h.
4. Magnetic induction on the surface of the drum - up to 0.5 T.
5. Electric drive power - no more than 15 kW.
6. Maximum operating temperature — up to +80°C.
7. Weight - no more than 8500 kg.
8. Upper lim it of relative air humidity - 85%
Technical parameters can be changed at the request of the customer in accordance with the specific conditions for installing the separator in an existing production line.
Area of use: mining industry.
