Summary
The Institute of Biophysics and Cell Engineering offers consumers services for the treatment of patients with long-term non-healing wounds and trophic ulcers using mesemchial stem cells and skin fibroblasts, including services using these methods for adult patients in accordance with the medical license under an outsourcing agreement, and is looking for partners interested in a distribution services agreement.
Description
The use of the method of cell therapy for long-term non-healing wounds and trophic ulcers using mesenchymal stem cells or skin fibroblasts leads to stimulation of the healing processes of chronic wounds and ulcers, which significantly improves the quality of life of patients. The treatment uses registered biomedical cell products (BMCP) "Mesenchymal stem cells" (TU BY 100217351.004-2014 amend. No. 1) and "Human dermal fibroblast culture" (TU BY 100217351.008-2019).

Developers: State Scientific Institution "Institute of Biophysics and Cell Engineering of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus", Educational Institution "Belarusian State Medical University".

The results of treatment of long-term non-healing wounds and trophic ulcers (L89, L97 and L98.4 according to ICD-10) have been improved.

Application area - medicine, oncology.

Product consumers - healthcare organizations providing medical care to patients in outpatient, inpatient and day hospital settings.

More information about paid services for the population can be found on the Institute's website here.

Information is posted in Album of promising developments of the NAS of Belarus organizations for the real sector of the economy (2023), , стр. 300-301. (in Russian)
Advantages and Innovations
The treatment method has no competitors in the Republic of Belarus, has a significant socio-economic effect and allows to eliminate microbial colonization of a chronic wound and stimulate reparative processes for the purpose of stable healing of the wound defect and improvement of the patient's quality of life.

Medical services associated with cell therapy are provided to patients of the Republic of Belarus and foreign citizens.

The developed method has shown high clinical effectiveness of treatment, good tolerability and safety of use for the patient.

Side effects are rare and do not pose a health hazard. The method is environmentally safe.
