Summary
Minsk Research Institute of Radiomaterials of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus offers consumers systems for carbon monoxide (CO) and carbon dioxide (CO2) monitoring in a driver's cab under manufacturing agreement and is looking for partners interested in distribution services agreement.
Description
OJSC "Minsk Research Institute of Radiomaterials" of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus manufactures systems for monitoring CO and CO2 concentration in the driver's cab.
The source of CO is the exhaust system of an internal combustion engine. If it malfunctions, carbon monoxide enters the cabin and at high concentrations can lead to driver's death. CO2 sensors monitor leakage in cooling systems.
The system is based on selective CO and CO2 sensors with a monitoring box that raise alarm about a fire at the early stages of its occurrence (for example, the cable insulation smouldering, transformer overload, etc.).
The open architecture of the CO and CO2 system allows it to be easily adapted for various applications by the number and type of sensors used, dimensions, method of processing, transmission of information, etc.
The design of the system allows for quick and easy replacement of sensors (similar to replacing a light bulb), self-diagnostics, communicates with onboard computer for information processing. It can be additionally equipped with humidity, temperature sensors, etc.
The principle of operation:
When the target level of CO and CO2 concentration is reached, a warning light is activated and the ventilation system is turned on; if an emergency situation is not eliminated after a specified time determined by the customer, then an audible alarm is activated.
The monitoring box includes:
* input for programming of the box;
* input for connecting CO and CO 2 sensors;
* input for testing of LEDs;
* outputs for connecting LEDs to indicate the level of CO and CO2 concentration;
* output for connecting an audio signal for the driver in case of an emergency condition of the monitoring system;
* output for connecting the LED indicating operability of the monitoring system;
* outlet for connecting the ventilation system.
Technical specifications:
Areas of use: mechanical engineering and instrument engineering.
Minsk Research Institute of Radiomaterials offers partners:
* systems of carbon monoxide (CO) and carbon dioxide (CO2) monitoring under a manufacturing agreement;
* systems of carbon monoxide (CO) and carbon dioxide (CO2) monitoring under a distribution services agreement.

Additional comments
The specialization of the institute includes the following main areas:
* development and production of the element base and functional units of microwave technology (solid-state microwave monolithic integrated circuits - low-noise amplifiers and power amplifiers, protective devices, switches, attenuators, frequency converters; microwave modules, etc.);
* development and production of optoelectronic components and modules based on them (photodetectors, light emitting diodes, semiconductor lasers, receiving and transmitting optical modules);
* production of materials for semiconductor production - gallium arsenide substrates of the "epi-ready" standard;
* development of sensor technology, modules and systems (sensors for inclination, pressure, acceleration, electronic compass, etc.);
* development and production of medical equipment.
The research and production base of the institute includes dedicated equipment which allows to develop and perform a full cycle of technological operations for the manufacture of microwaves, optoelectronic components, sensors of physical quantities based on microelectromechanical systems, equipment for the manufacture of medical products - Glucosen sensors etc. In particular, the equipment allows cutting semiconductor ingots of A3B5 compounds (GaAs, InP, GaN, etc.), grinding and polishing wafers, epitaxial growth, thermal diffusion and implantation of dopants, microcircuit packaging, control of their parameters, etc.
The Institute has a licensed software for electrodynamic calculations, its own library of standard elements, methods for monitoring and testing microwave components in the C, S, L, X, K wavelength ranges, electronic lithography equipment with a resolution of 100 nm, which provides a modern level of design standards.
As part of the specialization, the development of technologies, components and devices for various radio-electronic systems is carried out: radar systems, fiber-optic communication lines, laser rangefinders, systems for leveling and orientation of objects, control systems, guidance and navigation, etc.
