Summary
The Institute of Genetics and Cytology offers consumers services for assessing the risk of miscarriage using a DNA testing system for women with disorders of the physiological course of pregnancy under an outsourcing agreement and is looking for partners to develop a DNA testing system under a distribution services agreement.
Description
A technology has been developed to assess the risk of miscarriage by genetic markers associated, including
including, with an increased tendency to thrombosis.
Every year, every fifth desired pregnancy ends in a spontaneous abortion (according to the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation). Recently, one of the main causes of miscarriages has been considered hereditary thrombophilia, in which the tendency to intravascular thrombosis is increased. determine genetic predisposition thrombophilia is possible only with the help of DNA analysis. The genetic risk of thrombophilia is often realized only under additional conditions, in particular during pregnancy. At the same time, clinical and biochemical analyzes before pregnancy do not reveal abnormalities, but with the development of pregnancy, microthrombi are formed in the placenta that clog the umbilical cord, and spontaneous miscarriage occurs or the development of pregnancy stops (“frozen” pregnancy).
Molecular genetic analysis allows you to identify the presence of risk factors for pregnancy disorders in each case. in the genotypes of 90.7% of the women examined by us with habitual miscarriages, from 3 to 6 risk factors for miscarriage, more than a third of patients (35%) had 5 of these in the genotype factors.
Modern medical science has the means and methods for correcting adverse manifestations hereditary information. With a high risk of pregnancy loss, the gynecologist prescribes medicinal drugs that correct the effects of unfavorable gene variants, which ensures the normal course of pregnancy. Our survey of 1000 patients with established genetic causes of miscarriage and receiving appropriate medications showed successful birth of children in 86.6% of cases.

Advantages and Innovations
Unfavorable gene variants are identified, the effects of which are corrected by physicians with the help of antithrombotic agents and folic acid preparations. This contributes to the successful completion of pregnancy.
