Summary
A.V.Luikov Heat and Mass Transfer Institute of the NAS of Belarus offers consumers technology and equipment for surface cooling by a high-speed flow of micron droplets under a commercial agreement with technical assistance, as well as partners interested in a joint venture agreement.
Description
The operation of many modern electronic devices requires the use of cooling systems. As the power of such devices increases with the development of technology, traditional cooling systems are no longer enough. The problem arises of creating cooling systems that allow removing a sufficiently high heat flux density with a minimum temperature difference.
A.V.Luikov Heat and Mass Transfer Institute of the NAS of Belarus has developed a surface cooling technology that allows removing up to 0.5 MW/m2 of heat from a heated surface at a temperature difference of 40°C. The unit has one atomizer and can cool up to 4 cm2 of surface with one liquid nozzle.
The cooling device works as follows. Water is supplied to one of the nozzles, compressed air is supplied to the other. Air flows out at sonic speed from the air nozzle and breaks the water into micron droplets. The droplets precipitate and evaporate.
General scheme of the cooling device:
Areas of use:
- microelectronics:
- LED systems;
- solar panels;
- military industry, etc.
The Institute offers partners and R&D organizations:
* as part of a commercial agreement with technical assistance, the acquisition of technology and equipment for surface cooling by a high-speed flow of micron droplets;
* under a joint venture agreement, the creation of a joint production of equipment for surface cooling by a high-speed flow of micron droplets.
More."Actual developments, research, measurements and tests" Catalog-2021, p.20 (in Russian)
