Summary
PAK ISUM-1 is designed for the non-destructive measurement of hardness and elastic modulus of carbon and graphite materials.
Description
PAK ISUM-1 implement the method of dynamic indentation - one of the most informative ways to determine the physical and mechanical properties of materials. This method is based on the evaluation of material properties, using the parameters of its interaction with a striking indenter of a special form in the process of a test micro-impact.

The software and hardware system for measuring the properties of carbon and graphite materials ISUM-1 implements a non-destructive method of testing products from carbon and graphite materials, which allows to reduce the complexity of testing, ensure the possibility of continuous control of products for physical and mechanical properties, as well as improve the reliability of control.

Hardness measuring range for graphite materials: 100..650 MPa
Hardness measuring range for carbon materials: 20..70 MPa
Hardness measurement accuracy: ±8%
Elastic modulus measuring range for graphite materials: 5..65 GPa
Elastic modulus measuring range for carbon materials: 0,5..5 GPa
Elastic modulus measurement accuracy: ±10%

The ISUM-1 device passed the State acceptance tests and the State Register of Measuring Instruments of the Republic of Belarus was entered (certificate No. 11204).

Advantages and Innovations
PAK ISUM-1 is an alternative to destructive testing methods being currently in use, as it allows to carry out quality control of the manufacturing process by direct measurement of products properties and to avoid creating of check test pieces.
