Summary
The Scientific and Practical Center for Bioresources offers consumers a system of scientific support for the creation of new populations and sustainable use of Cervus elaphus resources under an outsourcing agreement and is looking for partners to conclude a distribution services agreement.
Description
Scientifically substantiated principles for creating new Cervus elaphus populations in Belarus have been developed and implemented.
Taking into account the suitability of environmental conditions and the specifics of hunting management, the number of individuals of the imported batch of animals, the optimal density and size of the created population, biotechnical measures for a quick transition to sustainable exploitation of the resources of this hunting species of ungulates are substantiated.
As part of the development, new red deer populations have been created in the regional organizational structures of the RGOO "BOOR" and forest hunting farms for the sustainable use of its resources. In total, more than 1000 individuals of the Cervus elaphus have been settled.
