Appearance, color: homogeneous liquid of light yellow color.
Smell: specific, light smell of pine needles.
pH: 8.5÷10.0.
Corrosive aggressiveness: passes tests.
Total mass fraction of chemical additives: 0.95 ÷ 1.13 g/cm3.

The Institute of Chemistry of New Materials is the leading institute in the Republic of Belarus and one of the leaders in fundamental and applied research in the field of creating thin-film and nanostructured organic materials, new composite materials with specified properties, methods for synthesizing new organic compounds as potential physiologically active substances.
Currently, the main objective of the Institute is to conduct scientific research in the field of high technologies for obtaining new chemical materials for various functional purposes, including:
- creating thin-film (including nanostructured) organic materials with specified properties;
- developing new composite materials with specified properties based on forest and petrochemical products and technologies for their production.
The scientific and scientific-technical activities of the Institute are also aimed at solving problems in the interests of enterprises: the Ministry of Industry, Belneftekhim Concern, Bellesbumprom Concern, State Military Industrial Committee, Ministry of Agriculture and Food, Ministry of Health and Belbiopharm Concern, RUE Cryptotech and the Minsk Printing Factory of the Goznak Department of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Belarus.
The Institute has high scientific and technical potential, has a modern research base, the latest experimental equipment, allowing to carry out complex scientific research in the areas of activity, is able to ensure high-quality performance of scientific research and development, practical development of results and conduct training of highly qualified scientific personnel.
Over the years of the Institute's existence, the results of scientific developments of the Institute of Chemistry of New Materials have been exported to Saudi Arabia, the Republic of Korea, China, India, Vietnam and other countries.
The Institute conducts research in broad international scientific cooperation with scientific centers of Russia, Azerbaijan, China, Vietnam, Saudi Arabia, the USA, Poland, Germany, regularly holds international conferences on the problems of obtaining science-intensive low-tonnage chemical products of various functional purposes.
