Description
The Kupets variety is a mid-season, universal (grain and green-mowing) variety with an unreduced common type of branching (wild type), created by the method of individual selection of plants from the offspring of a hybrid combination and against an infectious anthracnose background.

The Kupets variety is resistant to lodging, bean cracking, fusarium root rot, phomopsis, tolerant to viral diseases, highly tolerant to anthracnose.
The estimated economic effect of introducing the variety into production due to the higher yield of the new variety is expected to be at least 700 BYN/ha. The use of the variety will increase the production of grain fodder, protein feed, improve the fodder base in animal husbandry, and replace the purchased expensive protein fillers.

Advantages and Innovations
In terms of dry matter yield, it exceeded the standard (variety Mirtan) by 12.3 c/ha. For the first time, the potential seed yield (70.3 kg/ha) was achieved, while maintaining a high protein content in seeds, and low content of alkaloids. Outperforms varieties of the Russian Federation and Western Europe in terms of ecological plasticity.
