Summary
A.V.Luikov Heat and Mass Transfer Institute of the NAS of Belarus offers consumers equipment for the production of nanoparticles by spray pyrolysis of micron droplets of solutions under a manufacturing agreement, as well as partners interested in a joint venture agreement.
Description
Micro- and nanostructures can be synthesized by various methods that require large expenditures of energy and time. The most energy efficient and fastest process is the spray pyrolysis method. As a rule, nanoparticles of oxides of metals, metals or solid solutions are obtained by this method.

A.V.Luikov Heat and Mass Transfer Institute of the NAS of Belarus has developed and manufactured an aerosol reactor for the production of nanoparticles. The formation of nanoparticles occurs as a result of the decomposition of a supersaturated salt solution, which is facilitated by evaporative cooling inside micron droplets. The size of nanoparticles depends on the speed of the droplets and is regulated over a wide range (Ø 5 - 40 nm).

The developed aerosol reactor has a capacity of several grams per hour of nanoparticles of a wide range of chemical compositions and morphologies.

Principle of operation:
Argon is used as a carrier gas, which is fed through a rotameter to a microdroplet generator, where it mixes with micron droplets. Micron drops are delivered by an argon flow to a high-temperature reactor with a diameter of 0.012 m, the temperature of the walls of which is maintained constant. In a high-temperature reactor, droplets rapidly evaporate with the release of a gaseous substance and the formation of nanoparticles. Further, the formed nanoparticles under the action of thermophoresis are deposited on the cooler, which is concentrated inside the reactor at a distance of 0.3 m from its inlet.

Scheme of the aerosol reactor:
