Description
Experimental and Production Enterprise "Ferrit" manufactures magnetic pulley separators of the SMB-SHK2 series, designed to remove ferromagnetic particles from the flow of separated material (food, plastic raw materials (including recycling), loose building materials, etc.) at their significant content.
Magnetic pulley separators of the SMB-SHK2 series are built into the operating technological line as its separate element.
Principle of operation:
The basis of the operation of the magnetic separator is the principle of separating the separated product by magnetic properties using an internal magnetic drum in a sector design. The magnetic system inside the magnetic drum is made in the form of a sector with a sweep angle from 120° to 180°, the position of which is fixed. The separated material is fed through the loading neck directly to the rotating shell of the drum, which has longitudinally vertical cut-off plates. Getting into the zone of action of a powerful magnetic field, ferromagnetic particles are attracted to the surface of the shell of the drum and are held on it until the magnetic sector passes, then the magnetic field disappears, the ferromagnetic particles separate the shells under their own weight. In this way, the cleaned material falls along the usual trajectory, and the captured ferromagnetic particles fall into the metal collector.
The adjustable cut-off divider used in this design makes it possible to separate both ferromagnetic and weakly magnetic impurities (inclusions) from the material being separated, changing their trajectory of movement under the influence of a strong magnetic field.
Specifications:
Technical parameters can be changed at the request of the customer in accordance with the specific conditions for installing the separator in an existing production line.

- in the glass, woodworking, construction industries;
- at the enterprises of secondary processing of raw materials and in the production and processing of plastics.

Advantages and Innovations
In the manufactured separators of the SMB-SHK2 series, the magnetic induction can reach 500 mT, in similar separators SMSH of the Magnit Research and Production Association, the maximum magnetic induction is 350 mT (the higher the magnetic induction, the stronger the effect of the magnet at a given point, and the better it can hold the ferromagnetic particles at that point).
In the manufactured separators of the SMB-SHK2 series, the maximum operating temperature can reach +150°C, in similar ERGA BSM separators the maximum operating temperature is only +50°C.
