Description
PAK ISUM-1 C is designed for measuring the hardness and elastic modulus of carbon composite materials that have a complex anisotropic structure: carbon-carbon, carbon-ceramic and other.
PAK ISUM-1 C implement the method of dynamic indentation - one of the most informative ways to determine the physical and mechanical properties of materials. This method is based on the evaluation of a material properties, using the parameters of its interaction with a striking indenter of a special form in the process of a test micro-impact.
Hardness measuring range: 20..650 MPa
Hardness measurement accuracy: ±8%
Elastic modulus measuring range for carbon materials: 0,5..65 GPa
Elastic modulus measurement accuracy: ±10%

The measuring gauge of the PAK ISUM-1 C incorporates a video camera and allows to select a measuring point and to test the characteristics of selected elements of the composite structure, for example, pitch, carbon fiber, carbon rods, polymer matrix, etc.
