Summary
The Experimental Station on Sugar Beet offers consumers services for modifying recommendations for the control of cercospora in sugar beet crops for local conditions under an outsourcing agreement and is looking for partners interested in a distribution services agreement.
Description
The recommendations were prepared by the team of authors of the Republican Unitary Enterprise "Experimental Station on Sugar Beet" consisting of
N.A. Lukyanuk, head Department of Agricultural Technology of Sugar Beet, Candidate of Agricultural Sciences, Associate Professor,
M.I. Gulyaka, senior researcher, candidate of agricultural sciences, S.N. Gaityukevich, researcher,
A.V. Ostanin, researcher,
E.V. Turuk, junior researcher,
G.S. Usovich, junior researcher,
A.N. Rusak, junior researcher.
Recommendations are intended for specialists in agriculture and raw materials departments of sugar factories.
A set of protective measures for the leaf apparatus has been developed, which, together with other measures (organizational, agrochemical, agrotechnical), ensured maximum productivity of the cenosis with minimal economic, energy and labor costs.
More detailed recommendations can be found here (in Russian).

Additional comments
At the Republican Unitary Enterprise “Experimental Station on Sugar Beet”, within the framework of the Program for the Development of Scientific and Practical Centers, design work is being carried out to create a breeding and seed-growing complex.
The station has an automatic line for determining the technological qualities of Venema root crops, and equipment for pelleting sugar beet seeds from Germens. A technology for cultivating and harvesting sugar beets has been developed and is being implemented, making it possible to ensure a sugar yield at the plant of at least 7.5 t/ha with labor costs of up to 0.15 man-hours per 1 quintal of root crops. The station is working to further improve the technology in order to reduce costs and harmful impacts on the natural environment. New forms of fertilizers for sugar beets have been created: complex fertilizers for basic and pre-sowing application. Together with the Kletsk Mechanical Plant, a seeder design was developed for applying a starting dose of complex fertilizers simultaneously with sowing.
At the Station, much attention is paid to work on correcting the mineral nutrition of sugar beets during the growing season.
The main activity of the Experimental Station is research work on the problems of beet growing, propaganda and assistance in the development of scientific developments in agricultural production, including:
- creation of sugar beet hybrids using a breeding and seed-growing complex and with quality control of breeding material at all stages, organization of industrial seed production in regions with favorable natural conditions;
- improving the technology of cultivating sugar beets in order to obtain high yields and quality of root crops with minimal labor costs and economically feasible costs of material resources;
- monitoring and analysis of the progress of crop formation, control of elements of sugar beet cultivation technology and recommendations for resolving emerging issues.
5 promising hybrids have been created and 2 hybrids of sugar beet, resistant to diseases of leaf apparatus and root crops with a potential yield of 730-780 c/ha and a sugar content of 18%, have been submitted to the State variety testing.
