Summary
A.V. Luikov Institute of Heat and Mass Transfer offers consumers the technology of pyrolysis of carbon-containing gases in a catalytic fluidized bed for the synthesis of multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) under a commercial agraament with technical assistance, equipment for the production of nanotubes under a manufacturing agreement and is looking for partners to conclude a technical cooperation agreement.
Description
A technology for the catalytic synthesis of multi-walled carbon nanotubes has been developed and optimized
(MWCNTs) from propane-butane or ethylene in a fluidized bed reactor.
The innovative advantages of the technology are its record high performance in terms of specific productivity, product quality, raw material utilization rate.
Synthesis of MWCNTs is carried out in a fluidized bed reactor. The growth of nanotubes occurs on a special high performance catalyst (up to 30 g of MWCNTs per 1 g of catalyst). The synthesis process of MWCNTs is continuous, with cyclic unloading of the product and loading portions of fresh catalyst, optimized in terms of operating and technological parameters.
The technology is characterized by low energy consumption and is environmentally friendly. Technological process
scales well.
A sample of a reactor with a capacity of 1 kg/h has been created, samples of MWCNTs have been obtained. It is possible to create reactors of higher productivity.
Reactor specifications:

Advantages and Innovations
The developed technology surpasses analogues in specific productivity and energy efficiency, has an advantage in the type of process organization and the possibility of its automation. The obtained MWCNTs have high functional properties, in particular, high absorption of radio emission in microwave range. The technology is intended for the areas of industrial production of materials, non-metal products, and transport. MWCNTs are used in composite materials for various purposes, nano- and microtechnologies, production of microwave absorbers and microwave heaters.
