Summary
The Center for Identification Systems offers consumers services for assigning enterprises a Global Location Number (GLN) necessary to ensure work with electronic invoices under an outsourcing agreement and is looking for partners intwerested in a distribution services agreement.
Description
The most widely used system of standards for identification in international supply chains is developed and maintained by the International GS1 Association, a neutral, non-profit, global organization. GS1 standards are designed to improve the efficiency, security and transparency of supply chains across various economic sectors. Through its local national member organizations in 116 countries around the world, GS1 works with trading partner communities, industry communities, governments and technology providers to quickly respond to their business needs by adopting and implementing global standards. Globally, more than six billion transactions are performed every day in 156 countries using GS1 standards. More information can be found on the website www.GS1.org.
In May 1998, the Association GS1 Bel. was assigned the prefix 481, which means that all registered users of GS1 barcodes by the GS1 Bel Association (formerly EAN of Belarus) were and are assigned Global GCP Company Numbers starting with these numbers, and GTIN barcodes on their products also begin with numbers 481.
Obtaining a GLN number is necessary to ensure work with electronic invoices. The mechanism for generating and exchanging electronic invoices is provided by EDI providers.
The competitiveness of business entities of the Republic of Belarus in the domestic and foreign markets largely depends on the compliance of national mechanisms for regulating domestic and foreign trade with international standards and recommendations based on long-term trends in the development of commodity exchange technologies.
One of these trends is electronic commerce, which is based on technologies for automatic identification of subjects and objects of trade, electronic data exchange and automation of relevant business processes. At the same time, e-commerce ensures coverage of the entire logic of interaction between participants in business transactions in the form of standardized electronic messages and documents accompanying business processes: from ordering a product (service) to its shipment, delivery, accounting and payment.
EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) is a series of standards and conventions for the transfer of structured digital information between organizations, based on certain regulations and formats for transmitted messages.
The standardized definition of EDI or EDI as “electronic data exchange, in which structured information is transmitted and received in accordance with international and national standards using computer technology” is given in the state standard STB 2353-2014 “Electronic data interchange. Requirements for electronic document flow operators”, developed and put into effect in accordance with the instructions of the Government of the Republic of Belarus regarding the implementation of the procedure for creating, transferring and receiving ETTN and ETN.
Scientific and engineering republican unitary enterprise "Interindustry scientific and practical center for identification systems and electronic business transactions" of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus (State
The enterprise "Center for Identification Systems") has been appointed as an authorized body (in accordance with the Law of the Republic of Belarus dated October 28, 2008 No. 433-Z "On the basics of administrative procedures" regarding the issuance of an EDI provider certificate. (in Russian)
