Summary
S.N. Vyshelesski Institute of Experimental Veterinary offers consumers a vaccine "BELRAB" anti-rabies inactivated from strain 71 BelNIIEV-VGNKIunder under a manufacturing agreement and is looking for partners interested in a distribution services agreement.
Description
PURPOSE:
The vaccine is intended for immunization of domestic and farm animals (cattle and small cattle, horses, camels, pigs, dogs and cats) against rabies in farms and areas that are threatened and unaffected by this disease.
DESCRIPTION:
A homogeneous suspension with a loose sediment, which, when shaken, breaks into a uniform suspension and acquires a color from beige to white-pink in various shades.
CHARACTERISTIC:
The vaccine is made from the rabies virus strain "71 BelNIIEV-VGNKI", inactivated with theotropine or another inactivant with the addition of aluminum hydroxide as an adjuvant. The virus is cultivated in Syrian hamster kidney (BHK-21) or green monkey kidney (Vero) cell cultures.
The vaccine causes the production of specific antibodies in animals and provides immune protection against rabies.
APPLICATION:
For preventive immunization of animals vaccinated against rabies for the first time, the vaccine is administered twice with an interval of 20-30 days. Animals previously vaccinated against rabies are given the vaccine once. Revaccination is carried out after a year.
The vaccine is administered subcutaneously in the neck or intramuscularly in the thigh. Before use, shake the vaccine until a homogeneous suspension is formed.
The vaccine is administered in the following volume (per infection):
- puppies two months of age and older and adult dogs of small decorative breeds (lapdogs, dachshunds, spitz, terriers, etc.), as well as cats - 1.0 cubic cm.
- dogs of large breeds (shepherds, St. Bernards, etc.) weighing over 10 kg - 1.5 cubic cm.
- small cattle and pigs - 1.5 cubic cm.
- cattle, horses, camels and other large animals - 3.0
Forced vaccination is carried out no later than 72 hours after possible infection of the animal. In this case, the vaccine is administered to the animal four times in the above doses for three days in a row with a distant injection 16 days from the start of immunization.
Animals with clinical signs or suspected of having rabies are prohibited from receiving the vaccine. Immunized animals are monitored for one month.
WAITING PERIOD:
Milk and slaughter products from immunized farm animals are used without restrictions.
RELEASE FORM:
Sterile glass vials 1.0 each; 2.0; 4.0; 8.0; 10.0; 20.0; 50.0; 100.0 and 200.0 cubic cm. closed with a rubber stopper and rolled in aluminum caps.
STORAGE CONDITIONS:
The shelf life of the drug is 18 months from the date of manufacture, provided it is stored in a dry place protected from light at a temperature of plus 2 to plus 8 ° C.
More details on the institute's website (in Russian).
