The Scientific and Practical Center for Bioresources offers consumers comments and recommendations on using the interactive Internet portal "Virtual tour of the protected areas of Belarus" (a new state information resource) under an outsourcing agreement and is looking for partners to conclude a distribution services agreement.

For the first time, a new state information resource has been developed - the interactive Internet portal "Reserved Territories of Belarus. Virtual Tour" (www.zapovednytur.by), which includes a single set of information on specially protected natural areas of Belarus (hereinafter - PAs):
* section "PAs" contains a list of protected areas in Belarus, indicating their location (region, district) and area;
* section "Green tourism" - information on the tourist infrastructure of the agro- and eco-orientation of protected areas;
* section "Gallery" - multimedia content of the portal, including photos, videos, panoramic images in 360º format;
* section "3D‑model" - three-dimensional models of manor and park complexes, which have the status of natural monuments.

The Internet portal has been developed in accordance with modern methods of using geoinformation technologies when creating open cartographic databases.

The development is aimed at improving the attractiveness of "green" tourism in Belarus, attracting the attention of residents to the country's natural resources.

New state information resource.

The Scientific and Practical Center for Bioresources takes part in European projects of international technical assistance and cross-border cooperation in the field of biotechnology and ecology. The Center is the National Contact Point of the European Union Framework Program for Science and Innovation "HORIZON-2020" under the section "Climate, Efficient Use of Natural Resources", supports the CITES Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora.

The Center provides scientific support for the state environmental policy in the field of conservation and rational use of flora and fauna, natural communities and ecosystems, scientific and technical support for the conservation and use of biological diversity and bioresources as a national treasure of the Republic of Belarus.

Main activities:

- comprehensive study and scientific support for the conservation and rational use of natural biological resources;
- assessment of the state and dynamics of biological diversity, natural complexes and ecosystems;
- scientific support for the creation, operation and development of the system of specially protected natural areas and the national ecological network;
- development of measures to reduce the negative impact of invasive species, regulation of the number of pests in agriculture, forestry and hunting.
