Summary
B.I.Stepanov Institute of Physics of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus offers consumers yellow powder luminophore for LED lighting systems under a manufacturing agreement and is looking for partners interested in a distribution services agreement.
Description
B.I.Stepanov Institute of Physics of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus has developed a method for preparing yellow powder luminophore Y3Al5O12:Ce3+ with a grain diameter of approximately 80 nm and an internal luminescence quantum yield of more than 90%, which is a record value for highly dispersed luminophores.

Lanthanum oxide La2O3 is used as an additive to this luminophore, which makes it possible to significantly (up to 50 nm) shift the barycenter of the luminescence band to the red region of the spectrum.

Application areas:
* LED lighting systems;
* manufacture of luminescent optical ceramics (such ceramics is characterized by the increased thermal stability of luminescence – at T=440 K, the decrease in its intensity is no more than 10%, which allows its application in high-power LED lighting sources).

B.I.Stepanov Institute of Physics offers partners yellow powder luminophore for LED lighting systems under a manufacturing agreement.

Catalogue of Developments & Services of «B.I. Stepanov Institute of Physics» 2022, p.79.
Advantages and Innovations
The developed luminophore is 10% superior to analogues (created by scientists in Germany, China, Republic of Belarus) in terms of the maximum effective half-width of the luminescence band.

By replacing expensive lutetium oxide with cheaper ingredients, the cost of luminophore is significantly lower, which increases its competitiveness.
