Description
The Laboratory of the Institute of Forest of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus "provides services to all interested organizations and individuals in the following areas:
- sampling, determination of the content of cesium-137, strontium-90: soil;
- sampling, determination of the content of cesium-137: forest products (Christmas trees, wood, branches, branches; sawn timber, blanks for the manufacture of wood products and parts; medicinal plant materials; mushrooms and berries, natural birch sap, natural honey);
- determination of the content of cesium-137: wood, products from wood and wood materials and other non-food forestry products; food products, incl. forestry products (mushrooms and berries, natural birch sap, natural honey); agricultural raw materials and feed (milk, grain, hay, straw, haylage, silage, root crops, mixed fodder, green mass);
- determination of the content of strontium-90: wood, products from wood and wood materials and other forestry products (mushrooms and berries, natural birch sap, natural honey);
- environmental objects: equivalent dose rate of gamma radiation; surface beta contamination.
To perform these works, the laboratory has a license No. 02300/2225-2 for the right to carry out activities related to the control of radioactive contamination (issued by the Department for the Elimination of Consequences of the Chernobyl Disaster), and an accreditation certificate No. VU/112 02.1.0.0949 (issued by the BSCA). The laboratory meets the criteria of the Accreditation System of the Republic of Belarus and is accredited for compliance with the requirements of STB ISO/IEC 17025-2007.
The purpose of the laboratory quality policy is to carry out test work in accordance with the requirements of interstate and state standards to ensure the safety of radiation products from forestry and agriculture for the protection of human health and life.
The main tasks in the field of quality are:
- ensuring the uniformity of measurements in accordance with established methods;
