Summary
The Institute of Applied Physics offers consumers an IPM-1A material strength meter for non-destructive measurement of the strength of concrete, asphalt concrete and other building materials under a manufacturing agreement and is looking for partners to conclude a distribution services agreement.
Description
Devices IPM-1A (in Russian) are designed for non-destructive measurement of the strength of concrete, asphalt concrete and other building materials (mortar, brick, hardened bitumen, etc.) using calibration dependencies according to the methods of STB 2264-2012 and GOST 22690-2015, as well as the assessment of physical and mechanical properties building materials.

The IPM-1A device structurally consists of an impact transducer and an ADC electronic unit connected to a personal computer.
The method of dynamic indentation used in the device consists in applying a local impact to the tested product, recording the load force diagram and calculating the complex of the main physical and mechanical characteristics of the tested material using special algorithms.

Advantages and Innovations
IPM-1A has the following advantages:

- Continuous recording of the impact process in combination with the use of a personal computer for processing measuring signals can significantly increase the information content of measurements. According to the results of one test impact, the parameters characterizing the elastic, plastic and viscous properties of the controlled material are determined. Due to this, the device can be used for scientific research and development of specialized control methods. For example, the software allows you to bring the result of measuring the elasticity modulus of asphalt concrete to a given temperature;
- Compared to analogues that implement the shock pulse method, the device has a significantly higher impact energy and the diameter of the spherical tip of the indenter. This makes it possible to reduce the measurement uncertainty caused by the structural inhomogeneity of the tested material, as well as the influence of the surface layer. At the same time, the tests are non-destructive in nature, since they do not require the manufacture of special samples;
- Extended measurement range allows you to control both asphalt concrete and high-strength cement concrete with one device.
