Description
The Republican Research and Production Unitary Enterprise "Center of LED and Optoelectronic Technologies of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus" is one of the leading enterprises of the Republic of Belarus in the field of research and development, testing and production of LED products for various purposes.
One of the activities of the enterprise is the research and development of optoelectronic devices based on sources of ultraviolet (UV) radiation: UV LEDs and UV lamps. Ultraviolet is electromagnetic radiation that occupies the spectral range between visible and x-ray radiation from 100 to 400 nm. UV is divided into subranges: A, B, C, and vacuum UV.
Despite the fact that UV rays are invisible to the human eye, they are nevertheless capable of having a significant impact on living organisms and materials. Currently, UV radiation sources are used to disinfect various environments (air, water, etc.) and surfaces , curing of polymer compositions, as light sources in solariums, for identifying biological objects, etc.
