Summary
A.V. Luikov Institute of Heat and Mass Transfer of the NAS of Belarus offers consumers services for non-contact measurement of temperature dynamics in fast-flowing thermal processes under an outsourcing agreement or subcontract and is looking for partners to conclude a manufacturing agreement.
Description
A.V. Luikov Institute of Heat and Mass Transfer of the NAS of Belarus has developed and manufactures pulsed photoemission pyrometers «PIF 18», designed for non-contact measurement of temperature dynamics in fast-flowing thermal processes in absence of information about the emissivity of object and can be used both in scientific research and for thermal control of rapid technological processes.

Principle of action of pyrometer is based on conversion of radiation flux from object under study in visible part of spectrum, which passed through optical system to photoelectronic receiver, into an electrical signal proportional to temperature. The measurement results are displayed on screen of a personal computer connected to pyrometer, with installed software «PIF».

The pyrometer has a laser positioning system and can be mounted on a tripod. The pyrometer's detachable lens module allows a flexible optical light guide to be used instead, enabling temperature measurement in hard-to-reach areas. Device does not require entering emissivity of object before measuring the temperature.

Application areas:
* measurement of melting temperature of metals;
* high-speed measurements of temperatures of heat-stressed components of engine units and combustion products of fuel during optimization and control of combustion processes;
* thermal control of fast processes in laser processing of materials and technologies for obtaining composite carbon-containing high-strength coatings;
* surface temperature control in technologies of heat treatment, as well as manufacturing of materials and structural elements of microelectromechanical systems, including small spacecraft.

The Institute offers partners:
* non-contact measurement of temperature dynamics in fast-flowing thermal processes under a outsourcing agreement or subcontract;
* pulsed photoemission pyrometers «PIF 18» for non-contact measurement of temperature dynamics in fast-flowing thermal processes under a manufacturing agreement.

Advantages and Innovations
In pyrometers «PIF 18» temperature measurement is based on the photoemission method, which minimizes the influence of the emissivity of the object on the accuracy of measurements. This method is not used in commercially available pyrometers designed for similar purposes, thus, pyrometers pulse photoemission pyrometers «PIF 18» have no direct analogs.
