Summary
The Institute of Applied Physics offers consumers a portable hardness tester TPTs-7 for non-destructive measurement of the hardness of products made of carbon structural steels on scales and assessment of the hardness of other metallic materials: alloy steels, cast irons, non-ferrous metals and alloys on the basis of a manufactoring agreement and is looking for partners interested in technology transfer to basis of a license agreement or to enter into a distribution service agreement.
Description
The principle of operation of the device is based on the use of the dependence of the shock pulse parameters on the elastic-plastic properties of the controlled material. When performing a measurement, a test impact is applied to the surface of the inspected product with an indenter. The sensor, which is part of the hardness tester, registers the parameters of the movement of the indenter, forming a measuring signal. In the electronic unit, based on the received signal, the value of the hardness of the material is determined.
* TPC-7 has small overall dimensions and weight.
* The use of a hardness tester to control products without lapping to a massive base, starting from a mass of 1.5 kg.
* Automatic calculation and display of the arithmetic mean of the measurement results.
* Transfer to all common scales (HB, HRC, HV, HRB, HS, Rm).
Measuring range
±10 HB in the range of 90-150 HB
±12 HB in the range 151-450 HB
±1.5 HRC in the range of 20-70 HRC
±15 HV in the range 100-950 HV

TPC-7
Advantages and Innovations
* Carrying out measurements in any orientation with automatic correction of indications.
* Measurement of hardness of products with a wall thickness of 5.5 mm or more.
* Insignificant impact energy (~2 mJ), which makes it possible to use a hardness tester to control fine mating surfaces.
* TPC-7 allows you to measure in hard-to-reach places, such as gear teeth.
The device is included in the State Register of Measuring Instruments of the Republic of Belarus.

Additional comments
The most important scientific direction of the institute is traditionally the development of physical foundations, new methods and means of non-destructive quality control of industrial products and technical diagnostics. The results of research on the development of the scientific foundations of the theory of magnetism, electromagnetic, ultrasonic, radio wave, contact-dynamic, capillary and other methods of non-destructive testing brought fame to the institute. Scientists of the Institute have created dozens of new types of methods and means of control, protected by copyright certificates and patents from the leading countries of the world, introduced at many industrial enterprises of the republic and abroad. The Institute maintains active international relations, being one of the founders of the World Federation of Non-Destructive Testing Centers (the headquarters of the World Federation is located in the USA). Representatives of the Institute traditionally head the Belarusian Association of Non-Destructive Testing and Technical Diagnostics, which is part of the European Federation of Non-Destructive Testing (EFNDT).
The institute has two laboratories accredited by the State Standard of the Republic of Belarus: a testing laboratory for non-destructive testing and a calibration laboratory.
