Summary
The Institute of General and Inorganic Chemistry offers consumers sorption-catalytic and membrane materials for water and air purification under a manufactoring agreement and manufacturers and developers under a technology transfer license agreement, as well as partners for concluding an agreement on the provision of distribution services.
Description
The State Scientific Institution "Institute of General and Inorganic Chemistry of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus" offers sorption-catalytic materials for water and air purification and technologies for their production.
Sorption-catalytic materials are supported catalysts that allow water to be purified from iron, manganese, and hydrogen sulfide. The carrier is thermally modified dolomite with catalytically active oxides Mn (III, IV) and Cu (II) impregnated on its surface.
Microfiltration membrane materials based on silicate ceramics have a multilayer structure and consist of a large-pore substrate (pore size 40..200 µm) with a microfiltration layer formed on its surface (pore size 1..5 µm). They allow removing mechanical and colloidal impurities from liquid and gaseous media. Ceramic membranes are resistant to mineral acids and organic solvents, are characterized by increased thermal stability and mechanical strength - http://www.igic.bas-net.by/tech.php?id=186&lang=ru
The high sorption and catalytic activity, as well as the retention capacity of the developed materials, combined with their low cost, made it possible to create highly efficient domestic materials for water and air purification.

Advantages and Innovations
The use of local natural carbonate and silicate mineral raw materials (dolomite and quartz sand) makes it possible to obtain sorption-catalytic filtering and microfiltration membrane materials, which surpass foreign analogues in their operational properties and are much cheaper than them.
