Summary
Scientific and Practical Centre for Materials Research offers consumers non-regrindable cubic boron nitride composite cutting inserts under a manufacturing agreement and is looking for partners interested in a distribution services agreement.
Description
The plates are designed for processing difficult-to-cut materials (hardened steels, cast irons, etc.).
Knoop hardness - 40 GPa;
Crack resistance – 10.5 MPa × m1/2;
Young's modulus - 740 GPa;
Resistance period for steel (HRC 52..54) - 80 min.
There are no domestic analogues. Replacement of imported products is provided: hard alloy, tool ceramics (USA, Japan, China, Germany, Israel, etc.).
The developed plates have better performance characteristics:
hardness by 12..17%;
crack resistance by 54%;
compressive strength by 30..35%;
elastic modulus (Young's) by 22..23% compared to analogues (composite 10D).
Scope of application (sector of the economy, possible consumers of products): mechanical engineering.
