Summary
The Institute of Genetics and Cytology offers consumers services for molecular genetic testing of food products, agricultural products, feed and seeds for the presence of genetically modified ingredients (GMI) under an outsourcing agreement and is looking for partners to conclude a distribution services agreement.
Description
Identification of genetically modified organisms is an obligatory part of the process of certification of food products and raw materials. The institute's specialists have extensive experience in conducting PCR studies, which ensures guaranteed quality and minimum lead times. The laboratory is equipped with modern equipment from world manufacturers.
Analysis of the species of meat components that make up raw materials, food and feed allows you to determine the source of animal protein, identify counterfeit products, and also identify plant components in food products of animal origin.
As objects for analysis, raw and thermally processed meat products (carcass parts, minced meat, sausages), raw materials and ingredients for food products, dry and canned feed for animals and birds, animal feed, etc.
For analysis, a specific PCR method is used, which is optimal for products that have undergone heat treatment.
Why is it necessary to accurately identify the species composition of meat:
• contamination of expensive meat varieties with cheaper analogues (for example, beef - horse meat, turkey -
chicken, determination of meat contamination with soy and other plant components),
• health problems (possibility of allergies),
• personal preferences in the choice of food (for example, vegetarianism),
• precise marking.
Determination of the species of meat components is carried out in an accredited laboratory, which entered in the register of testing laboratories of the Customs Union, test reports are recognized in all countries of the Customs Union. State standard of the Republic of Belarus GOST 31719-2012. The standard is prepared on the basis of the application State Standard 52723-2007 and adopted by the Interstate Council for Standardization, Metrology and Certification (Minutes of October 1, 2012 No. 51).
