Summary
B.I. Stepanov Institute of Physics offers consumers an express automated laser virus analyzer under a manufacturing agreement and is looking for partners to conclude a distribution services agreement.
Description
The analyzer allows for the simultaneous diagnosis of samples taken from several people for the presence of various viruses. The method implemented in the device is based on the detection of time-resolved fluorescence of semiconductor nanoparticles (quantum dots) as part of antigen-antibody complexes on the surface of polymer microspheres with their antibody on the surface of polymer microspheres during their two-photon excitation.

Advantages and Innovations
Distinctive features and advantages:
- allows doctors to correctly diagnose the disease at one visit to the patient and prescribe the most effective therapy;
- the use of such devices in medical institutions will significantly reduce the risk of viral epidemics.
Benefits of using quantum dots:
- narrow radiation spectrum;
- the possibility of varying the maximum emission wavelength by changing the size of the quantum dot;
- high quantum yield of luminescence;
- a wide band of the absorption spectrum.
