RCTT and the Georgian Technology Transfer Center Signed a Memorandum of Understanding
A group of delegates from the Georgian National Intellectual Property Center , Ilia State University, Tbilisi State University, Shota Restively National Science Foundation visited RCTT during their Study Tour to Belarus & Lithuania "Technology Transfer and Innovation Policy" on 10 September 2012. The study tour was organized by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH.
The guests were informed about the Centre’s activity. There were taken up prospects for collaboration between the guest’s organizations and RCTT in the technology transfer sphere. As a result of the negotiations Dr. Alexander Uspenskiy, Director Republican Centre for Technology Transfer and Mr. Mr. George Kvaratskhelia, Director the Georgian Technology Transfer Center signed Memorandum of Understanding on September 12 2012. The purpose of the cooperation is promotion technology transfer and commercialization of research and development, involving research institutions and business entities, especially small and medium sized enterprises Belarus and Georgia.
Georgia is the 23 country in which RCTT has partners in the field of technology transfer and the Georgian Technology Transfer Center is the 71st foreign partner of RCTT.
