One more seminar “Technology Transfer as an Element of the National Innovation Activity” took place in Minsk on 17 November 2008. The event was held at the Presidential Academy of Public Administration, during a training course for potential vacancy takers of directors’ posts at key organizations appointed by the President of the Republic of Belarus. The seminar was moderated by Director of RCTT Alexander Uspenskiy.
During the seminars there were several topical issues highlighted:
· the role of technology transfer and the world’s experience in it;
· the means and instruments of technology transfer;
· the current state and prospects for development of technology transfer in Belarus.
In addition, Mr. Uspenskiy informed the trainees about the goals and objectives of the Project “Strengthening the National System for Technology Transfer in the Republic of Belarus on the Basis of Information and Communication Technologies” that had been implemented and funded by the Government of Belarus, with co-funding and under the aegis of UNDP and UNIDO since December 2006.
