The Seminar of Applied Science "Science, Education, Industry – Technology Transfer” took place in Navapolatsk, at the State University of Polatsk on 25 October 2007. The event was dedicated to the 70th anniversary of Vitsebsk Oblast’.
The target audience were primarily representatives of the young scientific community, enterprises and organizations from the Vitsebsk Voblast interested in developing collaboration and business relations with Belarusian and foreign enterprises, organizations and investors.
All in all, more than 70 students, undergraduates, and post-graduates of the Polatsk State University, representatives of the Regional Office of RCTT in Navapolatsk attended the Seminar.
There were several presentations and reports delivered, in particular:
- by Director of RCTT’s Regional Office in Navapolatsk Mr. Popok;
- Director of RCTT Mr. Uspenskiy (“The Information Resources and Services Offered by RCTT to Young Scientists, Researchers and Entrepreneurs. Current State and Prospects for the Future”);
- Head of the Marketing Department of RCTT Mr. Kuzmin (“Preparing Innovation Projects prior to Their Submission to the Republican Centre for Technology Transfer”).
The audience had a nice opportunity to learn more about the services and IT-based resources that RCTT and the network of its regional and branch offices offer to their clients; also, they were instructed about the rules and regulations applied in preparation of innovation and investment projects and posting thereof on the RCTT Web portal, to the UNIDO Exchange Network, Russian Technology Transfer Network, yet2.com Network.
Upon the completion of the Seminar, there were held a round-table discussion and a briefing for the local mass media.The Seminar had been organized by RCTT and its regional office at the State University of Polatsk. The event will be held owing to the support from the State Committee on Science and Technologies of the Republic of Belarus, the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, UNDP, and UNIDO. Their assistance had been provided under the multi-partner international aid project "Strengthening the National System for Technology Transfer in the Republic of Belarus on the Basis of Information and Communication Technologies".
