Seminar on Innovation Management, Technology Transfer and International Technology Cooperation

The propaedeutical seminar took place at the Metolit Technopark and Republican Centre for Technology Transfer (RCTT) on 22 – 25, under the auspices of the forthcoming advanced training “Innovation Management, Technology Transfer and International Technology Cooperation” in Germany. The Target trainees are Belarusian specialists in this particular field of activity, represenrtatives of the regional and branch offices of the Republican Centre for Technology Transfer and other organizations, institutions and enterprises involved in the innovation-related activity.


During the four-day seminar there were several subjects and issues taken up: business cooperation with German partners; the current state and the prospects for further development of the innovation infrastructure in Belarus; laws and standard acts to regulate the innovation activity in Belarus; intellectual property protection in international scientific and technological collaboration; funding of innovation projects, etc. Director of RCTT Alexander Uspenskiy delivered his lecture “Promotion of Commercialization Projects in Technology Transfer Network”.


The upcoming study tour in Germany will be held from 3 to 30 June 2007. It provides for an array of brief workshops, seminars and presentations to be held at the Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology, at technology foundations, industrial research associations, technology and innovation parks, innovation SMEs, companies, agencies involved in support and direct development of the innovation activity, technology transfer. Some industrial leader brands are to be involved in the training course, too. Afterwards, each of the Belarusian specialists is to have a short-time individual internship at one or two German organizations that belong to the German innovation infrastructure. The final issue of the programme is a seminar to sum up the outcome of the foreign study tour. During the seminar the trainees are supposed to present their own pilot projects based on the accrued knowledge and experience. These projects are meant to be implemented at the trainees’ organizations and enterprises.
