The previously announced roundtable meeting "Ensuring Capital Investments in the High-Tech Sector. State-to-Private Partnership" was held on 15 May 2007 under the aegis of the Belarusian Industrial Forum 2007.
Among the participants of the event there were First Deputy Chairman of the State Committee on Science and Technology V.I. Nedilko, Chairman of the Minsk Capital Union of Entrepreneurs and Employers V.N. Karyagin, Director of the Republican Centre for Technology Transfer A.A. Uspenskiy, Head of the Education Sector "Financial Means of the Effective Economy Sector" of the State Research Institute of Economics K.G. Kolomiets, Head of the Project Funding Administrative Department of Belpromstroybank K.A. Uzkikh, Head of the Chair of Economics of Industrial Enterprises Professor L.N. Nekhorosheva, Director of the RCTT Branch Office at the Apsel Ltd. (Lida) T.L. Dashkevich, and other representatives of the state, public, and international institutions and organizations.
The roundtable meeting was jointly organized by:
the Minsk Capital Union of Entrepreneurs and Employers,
the Committee on Innovative Development of the Minsk Capital Union of Entrepreneurs and Employers,
the Regional Centre for Industrial Subcontracting (Belarus),
the Republican Centre for Technology Transfer (Belarus).
The meeting participants took up the present-day problematic issues related to: attraction of investments to the high-technology sector in Belarus, creation of mechanisms for motivation and promotion of the innovation activity, further development of the relevant financial framework, creation of innovation-friendly institutional and legal environment.
Director of RCTT Mr. Uspenskiy presented the report "Technology Transfer Networks as Search Instruments of Capital Investments for Commercialization Projects".
