Following the recent inauguration of the High Technologies Park in Minsk (Belarus) and the national registration of its first member organizations, the State Committee on Science and Technology of the Republic of Belarus, the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, the Administrative Board of the High Technology Park, UNIDO, UNDP, WIPO, and the Republican Centre for Technology Transfer (RCTT) have jointly organized a seminar dedicated to IP management. The event, planned for 22 - 25 January, is titled ”Managing Intellectual Property of Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises with the High Technologies Park”. The event is to take place in a conference hall of the Presidium of the National Academy of Sciences.
Any interested organizations or entities – the organizations under the High Technologies Park and those outside of it - are invited to attend the seminar, they should be just involved in software development.
During the seminar there will be several reports delivered by key international and Belarusian experts in the software and database protection field: Dr. Guriqbal Singh Jaiya, Director of the SMEs Division, World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), Geneva; Mr. Mr. Boris Kokin, Senior Legal Counsellor, Copyright Law Division, WIPO, Mrs. Lien Verbauwhede, Consultant of the SMEs Division, WIPO; Prof. Dr. Marie-Christine Janssens, Catholic University of Leuven (KULeuven), Belgium; Mr. José Santacroce, Director Joint Cluster «Computers» European Patent Office, etc.
