On 22 - 24 October Prime Minister of the Republic of Belarus Mr. S. Sidorskiy paid his official visit to the Republic of Armenia. On 23 October, within the framework of the visit-related events Director of RCTT Mr. A.A. Yengibaryan, Executive Director of the Union of Information Technology Enterprises (www.ute.org) Mr. K. Vardanyan and Director-General of Viasphere Technopark Close Corporation (www.viasphere.com) Mr. A. Vardanyan.
On 24 October the Armenian Development Agency (headed by Director-General Mr. V. Movsisyan; (www.ada.am) hosted a round-table meeting dedicated to collaboration between the Republics of Belarus and Armenia in the sphere of high technology and IT. The Belarussian party was represented by Minister of Economy Mr. N.P. Zaychenko, First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Mr. V.P. Pugachev, Deputy Minister of Industry Mr. G.B. Sviderskiy, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to the Republic of Armenia Ms. M.I. Dolgopolova, Director of the Administrative Department of the High Technologies Park Mr. V.V. Tsepkalo, Director of RCTT Mr. A.A. Uspenskiy, etc. Armenia was represented by Director-General of the Armenian Development Agency (www.ada.am) Mr. V. Movsisyan, Executive Director of The Union of Information Technology Enterprises Mr. K. Vardanyan, representatives of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Armenia, several higher educational institutions, etc.
During the round-table meeting A.A. Uspenskiy, Director of RCTT, made a report "Research and Development in the Top-Priority Sectors in the Republic of Belarus. Services and Information Resources Offered by the Republican Centre for Technology Transfer".
As a result of the negotiations held, RCTT and the Armenian Development Agency agreed about their collaboration in the technology transfer field. Thus, in particular, the web portal of RCTT will launch a subsection "Legislation of Armenia". The information for the section will be provided by the Armenian Development Agency, to cover the legal acts and regulations of Armenia in the domain of its innovation and investment activity. By using the information, Belarussian innovation enterprise can become acquainted with the investment opportunities in Armenia, the local enterprise-founding conditions and the applicable taxation procedures. Furthermore, the parties have agreed to look into the possibility of joint investment projects in the Republic of Belarus.
